That’s a Wrap! How the End of DVF’s Marriage Marked the Beginning of Her Business

Although I was evacuated from my home this past week (I’ve since been able to return), Hurricane Sandy wasn’t able to wash away my inspiration! I was pleased to see a recent article posted by W magazine and Vogue.com this morning that featured an interview with fashion design icon Diane von Furstenberg stating that her legendary “wrap dress” was born out of liberation from her dissolved marriage:

“Usually the fairy tale ends with the girl marrying the prince,” said von Furstenberg. “But mine started as soon as the marriage was over.”
